Fresh Tomato Salsa
- 2 cups tomatoes, diced
- ½ cup red onion, diced
- 2-3 tablespoons cilantro, chopped
- 2-3 tablespoons lime juice
- 1 jalapeño or serrano peppers, finely chopped (pitting and seeding will decrease spiciness)
- Salt, pepper, cumin, chili powder, cayenne, and oregano to taste
- Put all ingredients into a bowl, toss well and serve chilled or at room temperature.
- Allowing salsa to sit in the fridge for 1-2 hours before serving will improve the flavor.
