Fresh Tomato Salsa


  • 2 cups tomatoes, diced
  • ½ cup red onion, diced
  • 2-3 tablespoons cilantro, chopped
  • 2-3 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1 jalapeño or serrano peppers, finely chopped (pitting and seeding will decrease spiciness)
  • Salt, pepper, cumin, chili powder, cayenne, and oregano to taste 


  1. Put all ingredients into a bowl, toss well and serve chilled or at room temperature.
  2. Allowing salsa to sit in the fridge for 1-2 hours before serving will improve the flavor.
